the clinker chairs are an attempt to rethink the principle of the wall in terms of form and function, to rid it of its historical peculiarities and to give it new, changeable forms. for this, the raw bricks are used as they are made, they are not processed and so their properties must be taken into account, which at the same time determine the scope for the design of the objects.

one of the earliest building materials is celebrated in its current form and the return to previously acquired knowledge.

a wall is created that does not separate, enclose or exclude - a wall that does not have to be torn down, but can be dismantled into its individual parts and reused. the chair can thus last for hundreds of years, or be gone tomorrow.

the works are intended to stimulate the viewer's imagination and at the same time enable a different view of a familiar building material - a view that perhaps makes us question our habits, questions materialities and known possibilities and gives meaning to the analogue and archaic.
